Hauly curates great finds from Asian marketplaces and sends you to those marketplaces to buy them. We don't sell products ourselves. Be reasonable, don't break the law, understand that Taobao/AliExpress/Lazada handle the actual transactions, and we're good.

Welcome

These terms apply when you use the Hauly website at hauly.asia, join our waitlist, or follow any of our outbound links to third-party marketplaces. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don't, simply don't use the site.

What Hauly is

Hauly is a curated discovery layer for Asian marketplaces — primarily Taobao, AliExpress, and Lazada. We find products we think are worth buying, write about them, and link you to the merchant page where you can complete the purchase. Hauly does not sell products, hold inventory, ship anything, process payments, or act as the seller of record. The actual purchase contract is always between you and the third-party merchant on the platform you check out on.

The waitlist phase

Right now, Hauly is in pre-launch. The only thing you can do on the site is read about what we're building and sign up to be notified when we open. When you sign up, you consent to receive a small number of emails from us about Hauly's launch. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email we send. We don't collect, hold, or process any other personal data during this phase — see the Privacy Policy for the details.

How you can use the site

You're welcome to use Hauly for the obvious things: browsing recommendations, reading reviews, clicking through to marketplaces, sharing links with friends. The few things you can't do:

• Scrape, mass-download, or replicate our content for a competing service.
• Bypass affiliate links to deny us commission while still benefiting from our curation.
• Use the site to break any law — yours, ours, or the merchants' — including but not limited to sanctions, customs evasion, or import restrictions in your country.
• Try to interfere with how the site runs (denial of service, exploiting bugs, injecting content).

Everything else is fair game. The site is for personal, non-commercial use.

Affiliate links

Most of our outbound product links are affiliate links. When you click one and buy something on the destination marketplace, we may earn a commission from that marketplace — at no extra cost to you. We disclose this clearly on every relevant page. The detailed disclosure is in the Affiliate Disclosure.

Third-party marketplaces

When you click a Hauly link, you leave our site and enter a third-party marketplace (Taobao, AliExpress, Lazada, etc.). Those platforms have their own terms, privacy policies, payment terms, and return policies. They are responsible for product accuracy, payment processing, shipping, customs handling in your country, returns, refunds, and any warranty. Read their terms before you buy. Hauly has no control over what happens on those platforms.

Disclaimers

We try hard to recommend good products, write honestly, and keep our information accurate. That said, the site is provided "as is" — we make no promises that every recommendation will be perfect for you, that prices we cite will still match by the time you check out, that delivery times we estimate will hold for your specific order, or that a merchant will fulfil their obligations. Use your judgment, read the merchant's listing carefully, and check shipping terms to your country before you buy.

Limits on our liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Cambodian law, Hauly and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising out of your use of the site or any purchase you make at a third-party marketplace via a Hauly link. Specifically, we're not responsible for product defects, shipping delays, customs fees, payment disputes, or merchant misconduct. If you have a problem with something you bought, your remedy is with the merchant and the marketplace, not with us. Where these limits aren't enforceable in your jurisdiction, our maximum liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount we earned in commission from your purchase — or USD 50, whichever is greater.

Intellectual property

The Hauly name, logo, written editorial content, product curation, and site design are owned by Hauly. You can share Hauly URLs freely and quote short passages with attribution. Reproducing whole pages or our editorial selections for a competing publication requires written permission. Product names, brand logos, and marketplace screenshots referenced on the site belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and review purposes.

Changes to these terms

Hauly is early — these terms will evolve as the product evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. We'll email active subscribers before a materially significant change takes effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Any dispute that can't be resolved by friendly discussion will be brought before the competent courts of the Kingdom of Cambodia. None of this prevents you from invoking mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence where they apply.
